GloRilla and Ingram Recreate Like You
Two Halloween looks, one history lesson. GloRilla steps into Ciara's Goodies era, then brings Brandon Ingram along to redo a 2005 video frame by frame.
The Goodies cover comes first
GloRilla opened her Halloween run on Friday, October 30 with a solo tribute before the couple shot landed. She rebuilt the cover of Ciara's 2004 debut album Goodies, pink hoodie, long hair and cross necklace all in place, and posted it ahead of the main reveal. XXL and Baller Alert both carried the looks the same night, and the second one is the one still travelling.

For the follow up, Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram stepped in as Bow Wow while GloRilla played Ciara, and the two recreated the elevator scene from the 2005 Like You video. XXL noted the matching Ed Hardy tiger graphic tees, a detail straight out of the mid 2000s wardrobe the original video wore. Her caption borrowed a line from the hook, which told anyone watching exactly which video was being quoted.
Why Like You still lands
Like You was the second single from Bow Wow's 2005 album Wanted, produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox and directed on video by Bryan Barber. In the clip, Bow Wow and Ciara play neighbours in the same apartment building circling each other, and the real life relationship behind it made the record bigger than the chart. It peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, numbers Baller Alert and HotNewHipHop both cite in their Halloween coverage.
That is the layer that makes the recreation work. GloRilla and Ingram are a real couple, publicly linked since 2025 and Instagram official that September, redoing a video that only hit the way it did because the couple in it was real too. The costume is not just clothing. It is casting, and the casting is the joke and the tribute at the same time.
A favour returned, two years later
There is a receipt behind this one. In 2024, Ciara dressed as GloRilla for Halloween, recreating the Memphis rapper's viral 360 With Speedy interview down to the outfit, the hair and the accent. GloRilla loved it publicly at the time. The two had already worked together on the 2022 remix of Ciara's Better Thangs, so the respect was on record long before either costume.
This year the direction flipped. One artist dressed as the other, then the favour came back with interest, a full video recreation instead of a single look. On a Halloween that lands on a Saturday, with two full nights of posts ahead, this is the look setting the pace so far, because it understood the assignment the culture actually grades: accuracy, homework and a story underneath the costume.
My take: most celebrity Halloween looks are shopping. This one is studying. GloRilla did not pick a random era to copy, she picked the exact artist who honoured her first, and she brought her own real life into the frame the way the original did. That is why it is leading the weekend.
